You DON'T have to go with the company your insurance recommends. In fact, it's a better idea if you don't…
You DON'T have to call around and interview different contractors trying to find one that is reliable. Frankly, you don't have time for that!
You DON'T have to deal with your insurance company alone! We're with you every step of the Way. We'll bill your insurance company.
CAUTION: The biggest mistake most people just like yourself make is not dealing with the water damage right away.
“The longer you wait the worse your problem is going to get”
If you have any sort of water damage in your home, you need to act quickly, and we can help! Do you have a broken pipe, storm damage, flooded basement, or any other disaster? You need to act fast, because delaying only creates more problems. The quicker you can get the water removed and your home dried, the less risk you have for dangerous mold to take root, which will cause health problems for you and your family. Not to mention: Hard to remove mildew will begin to grow.
Water damage is progressive, and anything that could have been saved within the first 48 hours of initial damage may not be, if you delay your response.
Also, insurance typically does not cover secondary damage caused by delay.
Secondary damage includes:
Damage to framing and drywall and flooring
High humidity damage to books, papers, artwork etc.
Whats the RISK of finding your own contractor OR using the one recommended by your insurance company?
The biggest risk to you is poor quality work. This is your home, your family's possessions and your money on the line.
RISK #1 – Finding Your Own Contractor
Many water restoration companies are just glorified construction companies in disguise. They've left the construction business, because its slow due to the economy. We don't blame them – You have to make a living somehow. But is this really the company you want working on your home? Do you want under-qualified and poorly trained workers to fix your home or business?
Poor quality work will lead to unseen problems that dont surface until long after they're gone.
RISK #2 – Going with the company your insurance recommends
It's important that you're aware that many local insurance adjusters have a local restoration company in their pocket who are looking out for the insurance company and not you.
The cold hard truth is this: Insurance companies create NON-OFFICIAL understandings with local restoration providers. The unwritten rules are simple: Keep your estimates as low as possible, and there will be more work for you!
Do you see why this is dangerous to you?
The restoration company should create an estimate in a way that makes sure your home is TRULY restored to its original state, but he knows he'll get more work if he cuts corners in places you won't recognize! He's willing to sacrifice the true quality of the work to ensure that the jobs keep getting subtly steered his way. What a sham! But, sadly, it happens every day.
Not all restoration companies are former construction companies or in the pockets of insurance adjusters. But you're in a situation where…

Water is a destructive force, especially when it invades your home. Below are some dos and don’ts for when water invades your home. When it comes to heavily damaged structures please use common sense and remember if it looks unsafe it probably is, call a professional.
Find the source and if possible stop further water intrusion.
If damage occurs during a cool season, leave heat on, if in summer, use an air conditioner if available.
Use fans to circulate the air and assist drying.
Remove as much water as possible by mopping and blotting.
Wipe water off of furniture.
Lift draperies off carpet, loop through a coat hanger, and place the hanger on the drapery rod.
Prop up wet furniture cushions for even drying.
Remove wet area rugs or other floor coverings.
Open furniture drawers, closet doors and luggage to enhance drying.
Move photos, paintings and art objects to a safe, dry location.
Remove wet fabrics and dry them as soon as possible. Hang furs and leather goods to dry separately at room temperature.
Remove damp books from shelves and spread out to dry.
Call a restoration professional.
Do not let pets or children be exposed to the water. Contaminates and bacteria are present in most standing water inside homes.
Do not turn up the heat in areas affected by water damage. Doing so could promote the growth of bacteria and mildew. Instead, attempt to stabilize the air temperature at 70 degrees F.
Do not use an ordinary household vacuum or shop-vac to remove water.
Do not go into rooms with standing water if the electricity is still on.
Do not lift tacked-down carpet without professional help. Lifting the carpet incorrectly could promote shrinkage or secondary damage.
Do not wait to call for professional help. Damage from the water and bacteria growth can begin within 24 hours.
Mold Restoration Services
Molds play an important role in nature by breaking down organic materials. We routinely encounter mold spores as part of everyday life, in both outdoor and indoor environments. In most cases, the body’s immune and respiratory systems normally provide defense mechanisms that protect it from health effects of regular exposure to molds.
Inhalation of molds can result in a range of health effects and in some circumstances can cause permanent damage or even death. Infections are possible in healthy people, despite the confusion regarding so called allergies. Many molds cause allergies. Allergic responses to molds include hay fever and asthma, and many people with allergies are also allergic to mold.
An inspection by a qualified professional should take place if mold is detected or suspected. The average cost of an inspection is $139.00 for the inspector and $130.00 for two tests. Mold testing typically consists of one physical sample and one air sample. The air sample provides the lab with the amount of mold that is in the air at the time in an un affected area, and the physical test is to find out what category of mold is in the home so a remediation plan can be formulated. You will receive a detailed inspection report complete with lab results and an estimate for the complete remediation of the affected area. Mold can actually destroy the surface it propagates upon by “eating” it, so inspectors take care when accessing damage and scope to determine what needs to be removed from the structure.
During the inspection process many factors are taken into consideration before any work takes place that will help us establish a plan for remediation, here are just a few:
Is the mold enclosed or in an open place where humans may contact it?
Is there any odor and/or spore colonies visible?
What is the size and make-up of the affected area?
Is there anyone in the home that is pregnant, or has allergies and/or asthma?
What condition 1, 2, or 3 is the affected and surrounding area (some testing may be necessary)?
Is there a moisture source that resulted in mold growth?
If needed air tests and tape lift tests will be conducted and sent to an approved lab within 24 hrs.
An inspection will not:
Address exposure assessments and/or health complaints and risks, see your doctor or health professional.
Damage, destroy, or contaminate your home in any way.
Provide any remediation, an inspection is for information, planning, and testing only.

“… I had heard of waterdamage911.co, called them up, and it was late: 8:00, 9:00 at night. They were there within one hour. The owner reassured me that everything was gonna be great and got to work that night. The next day, they called the insurance company, and he was there with the adjuster, which was awesome. I didn't have to do a thing. He took care of part of my deductible even, which was unbelievable! All my stuff was put back together within the week, and I couldn't ask for a better company. I would recommend them to anybody!“
Thermal imaging uses infrared technology to detect very small differences in temperature. Every material has a unique thermal signature and when moisture, heat, cold, or wood destroying insects are introduced into the structure, the thermal signature changes. The changes can be subtle or dramatic, but with this incredible thermal image scanning technology, the thermal signatures are detectable where they wouldn’t be able to be seen with the naked eye.
Thermal image scanning technology is now being used to evaluate residential and commercial structures. As a non-invasive testing tool, it can quickly help discern where there are suspected issues. This can help to limit the areas where time consuming further evaluation and destructive discovery is needed.
When moisture intrusion is located and corrected, further structure deterioration and widespread growth of mold can also be stopped. Thermal imaging inspections greatly help in the detection of structural damaging leaks. Please remember that every day that a leak goes undetected, the damage is increased. When detected early, the structural repairs and any needed mold remediation are significantly less costly.
